Our trip begins in Lima with a tour of the City led by one of our specialist guides, who are
lecturers of history of architecture at University. Visit the Cathedral, The Convent of San
Francisco, and the Main Square. En route to Paracas, we will visit the Hacienda Arona that dates from
the 17th century. We'll will board the boat to visit the Ballestas Islands, an archipelago of
islands rich in wildlife.
After our flight to Arequipa, we'll meet our guide for a guided visit of the highlights of
Arequipa. We'll visit Sachaca with a wonderful views of its three volcanoes. We'll also
visit "The Mansion of the Founder", a house form the 16th century. After our flight to
Cuzco, we'll have a private tour of the most important sites of the city,
such as the Jesuit church, "Korikancha" or the Temple of the Sun and the Cathedral,
Sacsayhuaman, Quenco, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.
Enjoy a full day visiting the Urubamba Valley (or usually called, "The Sacred Valley
of the Incas"). We'll finish this fantastic tour by spending two days exploring the
fabulous Machu Picchu.

Day 01:
|
Arrive Lima
You will be met as you arrive in the terminal building, assisted through customs
and driven to the Hotel. Quiet location. Easy access from the exterior, and full
accessibility to public areas, rooms (2 with full access) and bathrooms.

Day 02:
|
Lima City Tour
Today you will be taken by one of our specialist guides (Either Luis Villacorta or
Jose Garcia Calderon, both lecturers of history of architecture at University) to
the area of Lima that best demonstrates its Spanish colonial roots. You will first
tour the colonial area of Lima. Amongst the main sights are the Cathedral, The
Convent of San Francisco, and the Main Square with its beautiful baroque buildings.
You will also visit the Riva Aguero’s House which is a colonial house and contains
archives and library of the Catholic University.
In the afternoon you will visit Larco Herrera Museum, housed in an elegant
whitewashed mansion with a lovely garden, this museum contains the largest
private collection of Pre Columbian pottery in Peru. (B,L)

Day 03:
|
Lima - Ica
Pick up by your guide to be transferred by private van from Lima to Paracas
(about 3 to 4 hours). Approximately 300 km. En route you will visit the Hacienda
Arona that dates from 18th century. Transfer to Hacienda San Jose where you will have
lunch. Continue on to Pisco (Km.237). Visit the land portion of the Paracas National
Reserve where you can see impressive rock formations. Overnight in prime location
near the Paracas National Reserve. Located right in front of the ocean in an unusual
desert landscape. Easy access from the exterior, and good accessibility to public
areas, rooms and bathrooms. Rooms with ocean view. (B,L)

Day 04:
|
Paracas - Ica - Lima
From the hotel pier you will board the boat to visit the Ballestas Islands
(at about 8 a.m.), an archipelago of islands rich in wildlife. The boats are
adapted to transport persons with disabilities, so the passengers will have a
comfortable and safety excursion. View wildlife including sealions. Drive to Ica
and lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit of the Museo Regional to view a
collection of mummies, ceramics, textiles and trepanned skulls from Paracas, Nazca
and Inca cultures; a good, well-displayed collection of Inca counting strings
(quipus) and clothes made of feathers. Return to Lima for Overnight.

Day 05:
|
Lima - Arequipa
Transfer to airport to catch morning flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival transfer to
your hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure to acclimatize to altitude. Afternoon
pick up by your guide for a guided visit of the highlights of Arequipa. Overnight
Hotel Posada del Inca Arequipa. Centrally located in Arequipa’s main square, next
to the Cathedral. Partial access from the exterior and to public areas and bathrooms.

Day 06:
|
Arequipa- Country Fields
Afternoon visit to Sachaca where you will obtain wonderful views of the city, its
fields and its three volcanoes. You will visit "The Mansion of the Founder", a
house form the XVI century. You will visit one more highlight in Arequipa, El
Molino de Sabandia. During the trip back to Arequipa you will appreciate the Incas
and Pre-Incas style of cultivation. Overnight Hotel Posada del Inca Arequipa. (B)

Day 07:
|
Arequipa-Cusco
Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival transfer to
your hotel in Cuzco. You will have some hours to rest. After a lunch in a local
restaurant, you will have a private tour in a vehicle of the most important Inca
sites of the city, such as the Jesuit church, "Korikancha" or the Temple of the Sun
and the Cathedral. Your vehicle will then take you to the outskirts of the city to
visit 4 complexes of ruins: Sacsayhuaman, Quenco, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Access
to the ruins only at the entrance, but most of each of the sites are observed.
Overnight in Cuzco. Hotel is recently refurbished and renovated and is located on
the foundations of an Inca Palace. Inca walls are visible throughout. Excellent and
fast laundry service. Restaurant and bar. Partial access from the exterior, but good
accessibility for rooms (6 with full access), public areas and services. (B,L)

Day 08:
|
Urubamba Valley
Full day visiting the Urubamba Valley (or usually called, "The Sacred Valley of
the Incas") is a lovely fertile valley that lies north of Cuzco on the way to
Machu Picchu. It is dotted with charming villages, impressive Inca ruins and
picturesque markets. Afternoon visit of the fabulous ruins of Ollantaytambo,
and its town, the only Inca town which is still inhabited more or less as it was
in the time of the Incas. Access to the ruins is not possible, but from the town,
most of this impressive complex is observed. (B,L)

Day 09:
|
Machu Picchu
Transfer to Cuzco train station where you will catch the train to Machu Picchu
at approximately 06.00 a.m. You will head over the Puna (High Andean Savannah).
As the Valley becomes a canyon the cloud forest beings to appear with a strong
vegetation change as you reach the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. You will arrive in Aguas
Calientes after approximately 1 ½ hours.
Once at the station in Aguas Calientes, you will take a minibus uphill on the
winding road to the top of the mountain where the ruins are located. Private
guided visit of the ruins. Passengers with mobility problems will receive assistance
during the whole trip to Machu Picchu. As this is a historic place, has many steps
and unevenness. Passengers will receive assistance at the moment to board and get
off the train, and during the whole visit to the sanctuary. Guided visit of the
Machu Picchu ruins. A box lunch will be provided today. Bus back to Aguas Calientes.
Overnight in modern and comfortable hotel. Partial access to the entrance and
public bathrooms but good access to rooms and to common areas. (B,L)

Day 10:
|
Machu Picchu
Second guided visit of Machu Picchu. Re-entry to the ruins and assistance
included for today). Bus to the nearest town of Aguas Calientes where you will
take the train back to Cuzco at 03:00 p.m. Arrival in Cuzco after approximately
3 ½ hours and transfer to your hotel.

Day 11:
|
Cuzco-Lima-International Flights
Transfer to the airport to catch your
flight. Upon arrival in Lima you will receive assistance to board
your international flight or, if your flight departs at night, you
will be transferred to the hotel, where you will have a day room. At
time agreed you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch
your international flight. (B)
